About Sean
I got into training when I was at South Carolina State University. At the time, I wanted to try out for the basketball team. I was always on the smaller side, so I started weight training because I wanted to get stronger.
When I came back home, my mom mentioned getting certified. I knew I wanted to learn more than just the basics, so I found the Swedish Institute and started taking training seriously.
What I enjoy most about coaching is seeing people grow. Getting stronger is part of it, but I also care about the relationship that gets built through training. A lot of my clients become more than just clients. They become people I genuinely care about.
My coaching style is challenging, but safe. I want to push you, but I also want the work to make sense for your body, your goals, and where you are right now. After a session, I want you to feel like you accomplished something and leave feeling better than when you walked in.
Pickleball became part of my coaching after I started working at a facility in Red Hook. I got hooked on playing and competing, and now I want to help other players improve too. For beginner and intermediate players, I focus on the fundamentals first: how you move, how you swing, and how you understand the game.
I currently have a 4.37 DUPR rating, but I don’t see that as something to brag about. It just reflects that I compete, I care about improving, and I understand what players are working toward.
Personal Training
For clients who want to get stronger, move better, build consistency, and feel more capable in their body. This section is separate from pickleball so you can choose the right coaching path.
One-on-one coaching built around your body, your goals, and your schedule. Every session is coached with attention to form, progression, and how you are moving that day.
Train alongside one or two other people in a focused, small-group setting. You still get attention to form and progress, with the energy and accountability of training with others.
Training for people who want more energy, better movement, and a body that holds up outside the gym. This can support everyday life, sports, or your pickleball game.
Pickleball Coaching
Pickleball coaching is its own part of the business. Sessions can focus on technique, drilling, match strategy, DUPR-style games, tournament prep, or a combination of strength training and on-court coaching.
Focused coaching for players who want cleaner mechanics, better decision-making, and more reliable execution during real points.
Prepare for events with a plan: warm-up routines, partner communication, shot selection, point patterns, and pressure situations.
Organized games for players who want competitive reps, feedback, and more comfort playing structured points under pressure.
For players who want to improve their body and their game at the same time. This combines personal training with on-court pickleball coaching.
